The inaugural MOSSY CREEK ARTS FESTIVAL is hosted by Mossy Creek Foundation and made possible by a Rural Arts Project Support grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission in partnership with Carson-Newman University's Eagle Production Company.

Student artwork from several regional schools is displayed across the Historic Mossy Creek District:  The Creek Cafe' (high school); Mossy Meadows Studio front windows and 723 E. Main Street (K-8). The E. Main location is open Tuesday through Friday this week from 1-4pm and again on Saturday during the College St. Festival. We have some talented students in East Tennessee!

There will be lots to do and see at the 32nd annual Old Time Saturday festival in the Historic Mossy Creek District. This is Jefferson County’s largest annual festival and features craftsmen and vendors from throughout the region. Thousands of neighbors will once again fill the streets of downtown Jefferson City to honor its rich history as the once-bustling center of town. Be part of this fun-filled day and enjoy music, food, handmade crafts, and more!

Join us downtown in the Historic Mossy Creek District on JULY 4 for Jefferson City's annual salute to all things red, white, and blue. Food, activities for the kids, live music, and a fun and festive parade await! Hosted by Mossy Creek Foundation.

Noon - Festivities begin at Mossy Creek Station

1:00pm - Pop Seals and OPEN RANGE onstage at Mossy Creek Station

2:00pm - Parade*

Enjoy a second hour of tunes from Pop Seals and OPEN RANGE at Mossy Creek Station immediately after parade passes through.

Pop Seals and OPEN RANGE  Together for 10 years, this group of musicians (which includes Jefferson County locals Coach Jim Smith and Travis Solomon) knows how to entertain! Expect to hear everything from classic country to old-school rock.

* Want to participate in the parade? Pick up and return your entry form at City Hall in Jefferson City. Deadline is July 1. Parade participants begin line-up at 1:00 at the corner of Russell and Main Street along the railroad tracks (facing east). All entries must be Fourth of July-appropriate and are subject to approval of the parade committee.

Downtown Jefferson City Revitalization Oktoberfest

A special fall event to build excitement and funds for the Revitalization Project for Downtown Jefferson City, with all proceeds going to the Mossy Creek Foundation. The concert will feature Abby Helton and GRITS along with a special guest opener HillBilly Bones.

For your comfort, the venue will be held at Jefferson Middle School auditorium, so whether rain or shine, hot or cold, the event can go as planned. Come early and enjoy a picnic dinner on the grounds; fresh grilled burgers, baloney, and hot dogs will be available.

Gates open at 6:00 - First show is at 7:00

$10 pp admission donation
$3 ALL Students K thru college (college IDs required)

Festival Park will offer residents of Jefferson County an area for community gatherings and family picnics. The park, located on Main Street, will include a grassy hillside amphitheater, event pavilion, restroom facilities, playground, and a long-desired veterans memorial.
