Rescue 180 is hosting a very important event, in Jefferson County! Every year we honor families and our community’s loss of life , due to overdose. We are honored to have our Sheriff Jeff Coffey speak, and since we are Faithbased I will be sharing a few scriptures. We will also have some very special testimonies from 3 very special women, we have overcome addiction and rebuilding their lives!!! Recovery is Possible! If you are a Pastor please join us as we pray over our county to ask God to protect and destroy one of the largest forces of the enemy, ADDICTION!

Join Mossy Creek Outfitters for a guided stand-up paddle board (SUP) excursion designed for paddlers of all experience levels. Whether it's your first time on a board or you're looking to build your confidence, this experience combines instruction, exploration, and relaxation on one of East Tennessee's most beautiful lakes.
Our guides will begin with a brief on-shore lesson covering paddle board setup, proper paddle technique, balance, turning, and safety. Once you're comfortable, we'll launch onto the water and begin a leisurely paddle through the calm coves and scenic shoreline of Cherokee Lake.
Along the way, you'll learn about the lake's natural history, local wildlife, and the unique ecosystem that makes Cherokee Lake such a special place to explore. We'll share paddling tips, discuss water safety and etiquette, and point out interesting landmarks while giving you plenty of time to simply enjoy being on the water.
This isn't a race—it's an opportunity to learn, experience, and paddle.

Our instructors will demonstrate each knot step-by-step, explain when and why to use it, and provide plenty of time for practice until you're comfortable tying each one on your own. By the end of the class, you'll have practical skills you can use for setting up shelters, securing gear, tying down loads, hanging bear bags, boating, and countless other outdoor applications.

Whether you're looking to spend your first night on the trail or simply want to build confidence before your next adventure, backpacking is one of the most rewarding ways to experience the outdoors. In this hands-on introductory class, you'll learn the essential skills needed to confidently plan your first overnight trip into the backcountry.
Our experienced instructors will guide you through the fundamentals of backpacking, including gear selection, backpack fitting and packing, trip planning, campsite selection, food and water preparation, Leave No Trace principles, and backcountry safety. You'll have the opportunity to handle a variety of backpacking equipment, ask questions, and learn practical tips that can help make your adventures more comfortable and enjoyable.
By the end of the class, you'll have a solid understanding of what it takes to begin backpacking and the confidence to start planning your own overnight adventures. Whether your destination is the Great Smoky Mountains, the Appalachian Trail, or your favorite local trail, you'll leave with the knowledge to take the next step.
